Tattoos are Sacred Energy Exchange

Tattoos are an intimate and sacred exchange of energy and intention between the tattooer and the tattoo receiver. When you get a tattoo from me, your tattoos will be infused with energy blessings of abundance, protection, the wisdom of your highest self, connection to your wise and bright ancestors, and with a deep wish for you to reach your highest potential in this lifetime. No matter the design you receive, you will receive this magic within your session.

I am currently exploring and will be experimenting with how I would like to offer energy clearings and channeled guidance as a part of the design and tattoo process. If you are interested in receiving energy work in addition to or as part of the design of your custom tattoo, please connect with me and we can curate an experience for you that will support your spiritual transformation and growth.

Email to book

Simply email me at heyamethystarrow@gmail.com to claim a pre-drawn flash design, request a custom, or schedule a free consult so we can talk over options and ideas.

I love traveling that journey alongside folks to determine what kind of adornment you’d like to get. Tattoo consults are generally done virtually via zoom, and last about 30 minutes.

About Tattooing Sessions & Designs

I am currently tattooing at Point of View Tattoo School where I am apprenticing until I complete my Oregon Tattoo Licensure.

  • COVID safety is a big priority for me: N95 or KN95 masks are required to be worn during the entirety of your appointment. If you are sick, please reschedule. If you show up sick, I will not tattoo you

Frequently Asked Questions

  • Tattoos have many long lineages of practice attached to them and the application can vary from culture to culture. When you get a handpoke tattoo from me, I simply use a sterilized tattoo needle that was made for an electric tattoo machine, dip it in ink and apply the ink manually. The process is much slower with me handpoking ink into your skin rather than a machine depositing the ink at a rapid pace.

  • The feedback I have gotten from experienced tattoo receivers as well as newbies is that I have a pretty gentle touch with my tattoo needle. That said, every body is different. People’s sensitivities and pain tolerances can vary widely. Different parts of the body on the same person can have very different sensitivities as well. And beyond that, the type of tattoo makes a difference. A tattoo of line art will be less painful than a tattoo of a lot of solid black or super thick lines. So the simple answer is, no, a handpoke tattoo that you get from me won’t be more painful than a tattoo you’d get from a machine. That doesn’t mean it will be less painful though. Additionally, I try to employ a light touch and make sure that you are as comfortable as you can be during the process while knowing that some pain is to be expected.

  • This really depends on the design. Super simple designs can take 30 only minutes to tattoo. Intricate design with fine lines, shading, and lots of detail can take several hours. Currently my appointment slots are approximately 3 hrs - 3.5 hrs long. The beginning of our appointment will be discussing exact placement, prepping your skin and placing the stencil. Depending on how much we are experimenting with the placement and size, that portion of your appointment can take about 30+ minutes. I recommend you have a meal before you arrive, are adequately hydrated, and check in about needing bathroom breaks or snack breaks during the appointment. You are also welcome to play on your phone, listen to music or a podcast, or otherwise entertain yourself while you sit still for a while :)

  • I am currently tattooing at my place of study and apprenticeship - Point of View Tattoo School. It is likely you will be tattooed in a shared space with multiple others who can access, unless we’re tattooing a private area of your body. Unfortunately in this space I don’t get to curate the vibes, so we’re going to do the best we can! If you have sensory sensitivities, I recommend bringing whatever comfort items and sensory soothing items that you want so you can have it with you during the appointment.

  • Tips are always appreciated! I accept tips through cash or my digital tip jar. Most sources you will find say that 15-20% is customary for a tattoo tip, though I don’t have any minimum expectations on how you express your appreciation. Outside of cash, you can express your appreciation for the service I have provided you by way of gift cards, a thank you note, snacks, or a piece of your own art!

  • I accept cash, Venmo, Paypal, and Credit Card payments :)
